Utilizing tangible control interfaces, procedural processes, and the open-source Pure Data, this album was recorded in one take on 25 April 2015. Process & Control looks to explore asynchronous rhythms, 12 tone serialism, complex clock modulation, Markov chain analysis and autonomous stereo spatialization. indice 60 by S/QU/NC/R

Oct 21, 2015

indice 60 is S/QU/NC/R’s contribution to 58(+1) INDICES ON THE BODY. This project is a collaboration between the artist collective AMAE and the artist Pier Giorgio De Pinto with the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy. The topics come from the treaty 58 indices sur le corps (Editor’s note “58 indices on the body”), written in 2006 by Jean Luc Nancy and related to his book Corpus.  AMAE Art Collective focuses on the tensions generated in marginalised bodies by heteronormative society. AMAE’s research contaminates traditional languages of art with mass media, via photographic works and performances which are often broadcasted live on the web.
You can listen to indice 60 here and find more information about 58 (+1) indices on the body here.

ALPHA live at ELEKTRA 16 festival – Montreal (CA)

Apr 29, 2015

Julien Bayle will play ALPHA on Friday 15 May at ELEKTRA festival in Montreal. From the physical aspect of sound to customized algorithmic sequencers controlled in real time, the ALPHA a/v performance explores relationships between sound and image, pushing the limits and boundaries between these two creative fields.

For the 16th edition, ELEKTRA offers fans of digital arts and culture a theme centred on the power of sound, entitled POST-AUDIO, in the sense of “beyond audio” or beyond what we know as sound. With programming that looks at the influence of sound on our psyche and explores phenomena of listening, ELEKTRA 16 is a window onto local, national and international creation.

Very first release by S/QU/NC/R

Feb 14, 2015

Here we go !

We are happy to officially announce the very first release of the label by S/QU/NC/R (aka François Larini)

It is MRS Trilogy and its reference is br001

“Marseille is a sustained and noisy tone. I wanted to give shape to a kind of mental field recording, a sort of subliminal aural map, drawn from memories and feelings. While I wander this urban and sonic texture, Dromel, Baille, le Rove or le Frioul island are beacons, waypoints randomly chosen on this approximate and imaginary journey…”

You can now buy it, share it, listen to it!
